Lakers and Lady Lakers fall to Barren County in final regular season games

The Laker and Lady Laker Basketball teams fell to Barren County in the final regular season games of the season at home last night.

The Lady Lakers fell to Barren County by a score of 59-43.

Addy Abrell scored 14 points for the Lady Lakers, while McKenna Ccamaque scored 12 and Natalie Bartrug scored 11.

The Lakers fell to the Trojans in the nightcap in a close one by a score of 75-72.

Dylan Stanelle led Russell County with 26 points. It was a big night for Stanelle, as he joined the Russell County Laker 1,000 point club. Maddox Shearer scored 22 points for the Lakers and Bryson Irvin scored 14.

The Lakers and Lady Lakers now prepare for district tournament play getting underway this weekend.

Both teams will play on Sunday at Clinton County High School. The Lady Lakers will take on the host Clinton County Lady Bulldogs at 3:00. The Lakers will take on Metcalfe County afterward at around 4:30 p.m.
