Lady Lakers lose heartbreaker in final seconds to Cumberland County

The Russell County Lady Lakers lost a close one in the final seconds to Cumberland County in the 16th District Tournament last night.

After Addy Abrell hit a three-pointer to go ahead 42-41 late in the game, the Lady Panthers were able to score a basket with just under 3 seconds left in the game to win 43-42, ending the season for the Lady Lakers.

Abrell scored 11 points in the game, joining the Lady Laker 1,000 point club. Aniyah Coffey also scored 11 points, and McKenna Ccamaque scored 10.

The Lady Lakers wrap up the season with a final record of 16-13.
