Simmons files to run for district judge

Another candidate has filed to run for District Judge in the 40th District.

Current Wayne County Attorney Tom Simmons has filed to run for district judge in Division 2.

He joins Lee Whittenburg as the two candidates that have filed to run for the Division 2 judge seat.

The 40th district covers Russell, Wayne and Clinton counties.

Candidates have until Friday to officially file their paperwork to run for office.
