Shearer joins 1,000 point club, as Lakers dominate in win over Newport Central Catholic

The Laker Basketball team was dominant in a win over Newport Central Catholic in the East Jessamine Holiday Basketball Tournament, coming out on top 92-54.

It was also a big day for Laker senior Maddox Shearer, who joined the Laker Basketball 1,000 point club. Shearer led the Lakers with 22 points in the victory.

Bryson Irvin scored 14 points for the Lakers, Cameron Bolin scored 11 and Dylan Stanelle scored 10 points.

The Lakers take on McCreary Central today as they continue play in the East Jessamine tournament.
