New rules are now in effect in Kentucky banning the use of aircraft and drones for hunting or fishing, following approval by the state’s Interim Joint Committee on Natural Resources and Energy earlier this month.
The new regulation states a person cannot use an aircraft or unmanned aircraft, like a drone, to fish, hunt or take wildlife or to drive or herd wildlife for the purposes of hunting or fishing.
Exceptions are in place for landowners to engage in lawful wildlife damage control activities.
