An Adair County man was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison for his role in an alleged drug trafficking operation.
38-year-old Frederick Ennis was sentenced to 15 years and 3 months in prison on one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
As part of a plea agreement, two other charges against Ennis were dismissed.
In the plea agreement, Ennis admitted he and his brother, Diontae Ennis, purchased drugs from a supplier in Fayette County and brought them back to Pulaski County to distribute.
The two brothers were arrested following a traffic stop in September 2024, where law enforcement found 893 grams of meth and $1,100 in cash.
Diontae Ennis has also entered a plea agreement in the case. He is set to face formal sentencing next month in federal court.
At the time of the arrest, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said the two men were trafficking methamphetamine in Pulaski County and other counties in southern Kentucky.
