Local law enforcement makes pair of theft arrests

Local law enforcement officers made a pair of theft arrests late Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Jamestown Police arrested 26-year-old Christoper S. Collins of Russell Springs just before midnight Saturday and charged him with theft by deception including cold checks and theft by unlawful taking.

Collins was arrested by Officer Logan Burton with the Jamestown Police Department.

On Sunday morning, Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Stone Bolin arrested 28-year-old Sara Petty of Jamestown and charged her with theft by deception including cold checks.

Both were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
