Lady Laker Golf has best outing of season so far

The Lady Laker Golf Team had its best outing of the season so far yesterday, finishing the day with a team score of 350 at the Marion County Lady Knight Invitational.

That placed third as a team in the invitational and second in the 2A Tournament.

The Lady Lakers were led by Carly Shearer, who shot a personal-best 78, which qualified for the Kentucky 2A State Tournament in Owensboro.

Carleen Meyers shot an 84 on the day, followed by Catherine Wright at 94 and Karly Stapp at 94 – also a personal best.

Addison Hopper rounded out the scoring for the Lady Lakers with a 102.

The Lady Lakers return to action at Lakeside today, competing in the Henry Clay tournament.
