The Russell County Board of Education gave Superintendent Michael Ford an exemplary rating during his annual evaluation this week.
After going into executive session for about 15 minutes during Monday’s board meeting, the board returned and announced that Ford received exemplary marks in each category of the evaluation. Exemplary is the highest rating a superintendent can receive.
School Board Chair Dick Kazsuk said Ford is doing a great job as superintendent and the board is pleased with the direction of the school district.
Ford said he appreciates the strong vote of confidence from the board, but gave credit to many others.
The annual superintendent evaluation from the school board is required by law.
