As Lakefest gets underway this evening, one notable change coming to this year’s event is a vendor selling alcoholic beverages.
Jamestown Police Chief Jeff Kerns was a guest on Community Conversation on WJRS yesterday to discuss this change to Lakefest. He said there are regulations in place for anyone purchasing and consuming an alcoholic drink at Lakefest.
Kerns also reminded those traveling through Jamestown about road closures due to the Lakefest celebration.
Jamestown Police officers, volunteer firefighters, and others will be directing traffic around the square during these closures.
