Construction on The Green at the Russell County Public Library is ongoing, with notable progress being made within the last week.
Those visiting the library while this construction is ongoing are reminded that the library’s entrance on Highway 92, or Esto Road, is closed due to it being designated as a construction entrance for equipment and heavy machinery.
Library Director Lindsey Westerfield said closing that entrance was a safety measure for families and children that visit the library.
Westerfield provided some more details about what the construction project will entail when it’s completed.
The Highway 92/Esto Road entrance will be closed for the duration of the construction project. Currently, the construction project is estimated to take about 12 months.
