Russell County Search and Rescue reported another water rescue near Wolf Creek Dam this morning.
Search and Rescue officials say the incident occurred at around 10 this morning. They say two fishermen drifted too close to the dam and were being pulled toward the turbulent discharge area.
A unit from search and rescue was able to meet the boat midstream, transfer both men to safety, and secure their vessel for transport back to the ramp.
This is the second water rescue reported near the dam in the last five days.
Officials are reminding boaters to exercise caution and remain at least 500 feet away from the dam.
