More blood donations needed in summer months; community blood drive is today

The Russell County Community Blood Drive will take place today.

Local blood drive chairman Tony Kerr said donating blood year-round is important, but there is often a greater need for blood donations in the summer months.

Today’s blood drive will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the South Kentucky RECC Community Room.

Walk-ins are welcome.
