Laker Baseball falls in first game in Myrtle Beach, back in action this afternoon

The Laker Baseball team fell in its first game in Myrtle Beach yesterday, falling to Bowling Green, Ohio by a score of 7-6.

Ayden McGowan finished with a pair of hits for Russell County. Tanner Stringer drove in two runs for the Lakers.

The JV team picked up an 18-0 win over Bowling Green yesterday. Brody Terry and Ethan Hart had big games, each finishing with 3 hits and 4 runs batted in. Evan Hutchison picked up the win on the mound, striking out 5 of 7 batters in 2 innings of work while not allowing a hit.

The Lakers look to get back in the win column today when they take on Abbeville, South Carolina. That game gets underway at 12:30 this afternoon.
