Food is Medicine program at RCH could bring new ways of treating medical issues

Russell County Hospital is continuing its work with Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell on the Food is Medicine program.

Hospital CEO Scott Thompson said the project continues to be fast-moving and gave a preview of what the program could look like in the near future.

Thompson said the hospital has received some grant funding to help with the project. The hospital is also looking to work with local partners like the Extension Office, the high school FFA chapter, Farm Bureau, and others.
