Plans continue to be in the works for Shogun to build a restaurant in Russell Springs.
However, Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas said the restaurant owners hope to operate their food truck at the site this summer. The site for the future restaurant is near Five Star gas station.
Thomas said he met with the owners last week. They said if the city can have electric and water utilities ready at the site, they want to locate their food truck there this summer.
The food truck would not be open every day, but will be open to the public on select days.
Economic Development Director Jeramy Coffey said the owners are set to begin receiving bids on the restaurant project this week.
