Russell County Search and Rescue crews were able to rescue a dog that had become stranded around Lake Cumberland early Saturday morning.
Crews were called out after 1 a.m. Saturday. Search and Rescue Assistant Chief Lyndon Goby was on Community Conversations on WJRS to discuss how the rescue happened.
Three search and rescue volunteers worked the scene. They were able to securely retrieve the dog and reunite it with the owner about an hour after being called out.
