Kentucky State Police Post 15 has released more details about an arrest we reported on local news last week.
State Police say Trooper Lucas Justice from Post 15 was patrolling on Bernard Ridge last Tuesday when he observed a driver commit a traffic violation.
Trooper Justice performed a traffic stop on the vehicle, operated by 49-year-old Jeffrey Holder of Pulaski County. During the stop, troopers learned Holder had three warrants for his arrest and a search of the vehicle resulted in troopers finding approximately 6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with a large sum of cash and drug paraphernalia.
Holder was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without insurance, and other traffic violations. Those other warrants included wanton endangerment of a police officer, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and other charges.
He remains lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
