Local businesses come together to help provide cardiac monitors for RCEMS

Multiple local businesses recently came together to help provide funding for much-needed equipment upgrades for Russell County EMS.

The local businesses came together to contribute around $130,000 that the local EMS used to purchase five new cardiac monitors to be placed in ambulances.

These monitors are used on the majority of runs EMS makes.

EMS Interim Director Charles Shepherd was on Community Conversations on WJRS to talk about the monitors and how grateful the local EMS is for the support from the community.

Representatives from the local businesses involved were recognized yesterday morning at the EMS building, where they were able to see how the cardiac monitors are used and tour the EMS building.
