Lakers, Lady Lakers fall at Adair; Lady Lakers host South Laurel for senior night tonight

The Russell County Laker and Lady Laker Basketball teams fell on the road at Adair County this past Friday night.

The Lady Lakers fell to the Lady Indians in the first game by a score of 60-51.

Aniyah Coffey led the Lady Lakers in scoring with 20 points on the night along with a team-high 9 rebounds. Addy Abrell scored 12 and Addison Hart added 11.

In the nightcap, the Lakers fell to the Indians by a score of 78-57.

Owen Loy led Russell County with 17 points, followed by Mayes Gosser with 9 and Dylan Stanelle and Maddox Shearer with 6 points each.

The Lady Lakers are back in action tonight, hosting South Laurel for senior night at Laker Gym tonight. Tip-off for tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. We’ll have live coverage of tonight’s action live on Laker Country 104.9.
