A pair of former Laker Baseball players have received recognition at their respective colleges.
Hunter Thomas at Morehead State was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week. In four games last week, Thomas went 6-15 with three home runs, two doubles, and drove in nine runs.
Nathan Lawson at Eastern Kentucky University was voted as the Atlantic Sun Preseason Pitcher of the Year. Lawson most recently appeared on the mound for EKU in a matchup against Ole Miss. He pitched 1 inning, giving up 1 hit and striking out 1 batter.
