Casey County Schools will be closed today and tomorrow due to illness among staff and students.
Casey County Schools Superintendent Barry Lee announced the schools would be closed the remainder of the week and the schools will undergo thorough cleaning.
The school district will be utilizing NTI today and tomorrow during the closure.
Casey County joins Taylor County, Marion County, and LaRue County as schools in the nearby area utilizing NTI the remainder of the week due to illness.
In Russell County, Superintendent Michael Ford told WJRS News yesterday that the local school district’s attendance numbers remain steady and have not reached the point of shutting down in-person instruction.
