Burton receives KY Public Library award

Russell County’s Kristina Burton received a statewide library award today.

Burton received the Outstanding Service for Young Adults Award. The award is presented annually by the Kentucky Public Library Association.

The award is presented to one librarian across the Commonwealth each year for accomplishments and innovative services to young adults.

Burton is the Youth Services Librarian at the Russell County Public Library.

She was recognized for starting the Teen Advisory Board and Homework Help programs at the library. Burton was also recognized for her work with the Summer Feeding Program and other youth-focused library services.
