New vision exam requirement for driver’s license renewals begins today

A new law requiring a vision exam for all driver’s license renewals goes into effect today.

Vision screenings can be completed at no cost at any regional driver’s license office. There are regional driver’s license offices in Columbia and Somerset.

Drivers also have the option of conducting a vision exam with their vision specialist, and receiving a form from their vision specialist that they can bring to their license renewal visit.
