The South 127 project including Russell and Clinton counties is ongoing.
Despite a few hiccups involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, District 8 Transportation Cabinet spokesperson Amber Hale said the project is moving forward and on schedule.
As of now, the goal is for the project to be completed in the fall of 2026.
