Three men – two from Clinton County and one from Louisville – were arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop on Highway 127.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Office said 51-year-old Allen Keith Booher and39-year-old Clifford Kennedy, both of Albany, and 45-year-old Durward Salisbury of Louisville were arrested on drug charges.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Tyler Pearson conducted a traffic stop on South Highway 127 at around 2:20 Sunday morning after observing a car speeding and swerving across the road. During the stop, Pearson found approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Booher, the driver of the vehicle, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, and no brake lights.
Kennedy and Salisbury were each charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence.
The three men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
