Two men were arrested following a traffic stop off Highway 80 Saturday night.
The individuals arrested were 30-year-old David Villegas and 21-year-old Buitrago Bermudez, both of Texas.
Deputy Tyler Pearson conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 80 that was swerving and traveling at inconsistent speeds.
During the stop, the sheriff’s office said the driver, Bermudez, did not have a license and multiple open alcoholic beverages were found in the car.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected cocaine. Villegas was charged with public intoxication and possession of cocaine.
Both men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
