Clinton County man facing new charge after reportedly assaulting RCDC employee

A Clinton County man arrested last weekend on drug charges is now facing new charges after reportedly assaulting an employee at the Russell County Detention Center.

51-year-old Allen Keith Booher is now facing an additional charge of assault third degree – inmate assaulting a corrections officer, a class D felony.

Jailer Bobby Dunbar told WJRS News the incident occurred Tuesday night after 7 p.m.

Booher was arrested last Sunday morning following a traffic stop on Highway 127. He faces charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
