Russell County EMS has a new leader, but he’s no stranger to the local ambulance service.
Last week, the local ambulance board named Charles Shepherd as the interim director for Russell County EMS.
Shepherd spoke to WJRS yesterday, where he talked about what he hopes to bring to EMS.
Shepherd also spoke about how much the community means to him and how he feels about being appointed to the position.
The ambulance board voted last week to name Shepherd as the interim director after former director Robert Baugh was fired from the position earlier in the week.
