The Russell County Board of Education will consider a couple change orders for the ongoing project at the old area technology center.
The two proposals are for extra work the district hoped to be able to do if the project went well, and because of that, they are considering those proposals at today’s special-called meeting.
The proposals include concrete work totaling around $35,000, along with asphalt paving totaling a little under $82,000 but the asphalt proposal will likely be just for information with a decision coming at the board’s regular meeting later this month.
Superintendent Michael Ford said neither of the proposals add to the overall budget of the project, but would come out of the contingency that was already built into the project budget.
The board will meet at 8 a.m. in the room above the pool at the Russell County ANC.
