A Columbia man charged with vehicular homicide entered a not guilty plea during his arraignment appearance in Russell Circuit Court yesterday.
Tyler Yarberry is charged with vehicular homicide stemming from a collision that took place last October on Highway 55 near Shearer Cemetery Road.
According to reports at the time, the dump truck Yarberry was operating left the roadway and then came back onto the roadway and collided head-on with a 2007 Saturn Car operated by 35-year-old Jeremy Branham of Jamestown.
Branham was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Russell County Coroner’s Office.
The indictment alleges that Yarberry was operating the truck while under the influence when the collision occurred.
Yarberry is set to appear in Russell Circuit Court again in August.
