Authorities are investigating a drowning on Lake Cumberland near the South Fork area in Pulaski County.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Darrell Kirby of Liberty Township, Ohio.
Kirby reportedly was on a pontoon when he fell into the water late Friday night and didn’t resurface.
Russell County Search and Rescue was called in to assist in recovery efforts yesterday. The body was recovered at around 5:30 eastern time yesterday.
This is the second drowning on Lake Cumberland in two weeks, with an Indianapolis man drowning in the Harmon Creek area of the lake the previous weekend.
