An Indianapolis man drowned in the Harmon Creek area of Lake Cumberland in Wayne County over the weekend.
According to the Wayne County Rescue Squad, first responders were called out just before midnight Friday for a possible drowning at Harmon Creek.
Officials say the body of a 39-year-old man was recovered in about 40 feet of water at about 1:15 eastern time Saturday morning.
The identity of the man has not yet been released, but officials say the man was from Indianapolis.
Russell County Search and Rescue assisted Wayne County authorities at the scene, along with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
