A Columbia man was indicted on a charge of vehicular homicide stemming from a fatal wreck that occurred last October.
Tyler Yarberry of Columbia was indicted in Russell Circuit Court on the charge. According to the indictment, Yarberry was operating a dump truck on Highway 55 near Shearer Cemetery Road when his vehicle left the roadway, then came back on and collided head-on with a 2007 Saturn Car operated by 35-year-old Jeremy Branham of Jamestown.
Branham was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Russell County Coroner’s Office. The indictment alleges that Yarberry was operating the truck while under the influence when the collision occurred.
Yarberry was also indicted on a charge of being a persistent felony offender.
Yarberry was arrested by Kentucky State Police in Adair County at around 9 Tuesday night.
