South Kentucky RECC says the vast majority of power outages have been restored from this past weekend’s storms.
Crews from the local electric cooperative along with aid crews from Mississippi and Alabama are working today to restore service to about 250 customers who remain without power. Of those, about 30 were in Russell County. Around 2/3 of the remaining outages are in neighboring Clinton County.
South Kentucky RECC said more than 100 electric poles were broken during the storms, which has slowed down restoration efforts.
