Laker Baseball finishes regular season sweep of 16th District

The Laker Baseball team finished off a regular season sweep of the 16th District with a win over the Clinton County Bulldogs on Saturday.

The Lakers came away with a 13-2 victory over the Bulldogs to move to 8-0 against district opponents in the regular season.

Mayes Gosser and Carter Stapp led the Lakers at the plate, each finishing with 2 hits as Gosser drove in 3 runs and Stapp drove in 2. Owen Loy also drove in 3 runs for the Lakers in the victory.

Loy picked up the win on the mound, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings and striking out 5.

The Lakers now sit at 22-9 on the season.
