One person sent to hospital following three-vehicle collision in Jamestown

One person was sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Jamestown on Wednesday.

According to Jamestown Police, the collision occurred just after 11 a.m. Wednesday near Casey’s Convenience Store.

Police say a 2007 Dodge, operated by Haylee Brown of Jamestown, was attempting to turn left into Casey’s and turned into the path of a 2005 Mazda operated by Brenda Carter of Russell Springs.

The collision forced Brown’s vehicle into the northbound lane of Highway 127, where it was struck by a 2015 Kia operated by Kermit Gossage of Russell Springs.

Carter was taken to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Brown and passengers in her vehicle, along with Gossage, refused treatment at the scene.

The accident was investigated by Jamestown Police Chief Jeff Kerns. He was assisted on scene by Jamestown Police Officer Heath Tarter and members of the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Fire Department.
