The Russell County Lady Laker Basketball team saw its seven-game winning streak come to an end last night following a hard-fought battle with Whitley County, falling by a score of 51-47 in overtime.
The Lady Lakers fall to 17-9 on the season with the loss, and will return to action Thursday as Russell County will play a doubleheader at Barren County in the regular season finale.
The Lakers will be at home tonight, hosting Pulaski County.
