Casey County man arrested after possessing more than 50 pounds of drugs

A Casey County man was arrested Friday as the result of a federal search warrant in which the man was found to be in possession of more than 50 pounds of drugs, a handgun, and more than $100,000 in cash.

According to reports, 73-year-old Roger Mullins is facing several charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The search warrant was executed at a residence along Brinson Place in eastern Casey County on Friday. Officers from the Casey County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Lexington DEA, and the Department of Homeland Security were involved in the search, which resulted in the discovery of 50 pounds of methamphetamine, 3 kilograms of cocaine, 4 pounds of heroin, a handgun, and more than $100,000 in cash.

Mullins remains lodged in the Casey County Jail.
