Two men now facing charges from incident in Monticello last week

Two men are now facing charges from an incident last week in Wayne County, in which a person was held at knife-point, assaulted, and robbed.

According to reports, the two men, identified as Austin Lee of Monticello and Joshua Jones of Monticello, turned themselves in on Tuesday on charges of robbery – first degree, kidnapping of an adult, theft of more than $500 but less than $10,000, criminal mischief – first degree, terroristic threatening – third degree, criminal trespassing – third degree, engaging in organized crime, and assault – first degree.

The victim reported to Wayne County deputies that a female subject and two male subjects entered his residence without permission.

Once inside the residence, the female, later identified as 29 year old Candace Crabtree,  along with one of the males, assaulted the victim and held him against his will for approximately two hours, according to the report.

During the assault, the female also held a knife to the victim’s throat while verbally threatening to kill him.
