A local auctioneer won a state championship over this weekend.
Russell County native Alex Popplewell competed with auctioneers across the state at the 2024 Kentucky Auctioneer’s Association annual convention this past weekend in Lexington, coming out on top to claim the state’s top prize.
Golden Rule-Wilson, a local real estate and auction company, also claimed three statewide advertising awards, which included best radio advertising.
