Fire crews were called out Thursday evening to a fire in a basement on Emerson Drive Thursday evening.
According to the Russell Springs Fire Department, crews were called out at around 4:45 Thursday evening to a residence located at 129 Emerson Drive in Russell Springs in response to a fire in the basement area of the home.
A total of 17 firefighters from the Russell Springs Fire Department responded to the call and were on scene for about three hours.
No injuries were reported from the fire and the cause is under investigation.
Crews from the Russell Springs Fire Department were assisted on scene by members of the Jamestown and Eli Fire Departments, as well as Russell County EMS and Kentucky Utilities.
