County planning to create Bicentennial Committee

Next year will mark Russell County’s bicentennial, or 200 years since the county was founded.

WRJS News spoke with Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum about creating a committee that will plan celebration events for the bicentennial next year.

December 14, 2025 will mark 200 years since Russell County was founded.
