Coffey enters guilty plea on murder charge

A Russell Springs man entered a guilty plea in Russell Circuit Court yesterday on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.

According to court documents, Jordan Coffey entered a guilty plea on the charges in the case of the murder of Christopher Glenn Coffey at Eagles Nest RV Park in November 2021.

With the guilty plea, the commonwealth is recommending a sentence of 22 years on the murder charge and 3 years on the charge of tampering with physical evidence to run consecutive, totaling 25 years to serve.

Coffey is set to appear before Circuit Judge Sara Beth Gregory on Tuesday, February 27th at 10 a.m. for formal sentencing.
