15 indicted by grand jury

A Russell County grand jury handed up 15 indictments yesterday.

Those indicted included the following individuals.

Rebekah Devore, age 41, and Jill Popplewell, age 45, both of Russell Springs, indicted on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Popplewell was also indicted on a charge of operating on an expired license and Devore was indicted on a charge of being a persistent felony offender.

Shaun A. Johnson, age 45 of Jamestown, charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Arnold, age 41 of Russell Springs, charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, alcohol intoxication, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.

Marvin Villela, age 19 of Russell Springs, charged with unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activity.

Dakota Harris, age 27 of Nancy, charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving under the influence first offense, and driving on a suspended license.

Franklin Sanger III, age 39 of Bardstown, charged with strangulation first degree and being a persistent felony offender.

Jonathan D. Lynn, age 41 of Radcliff, charged with two counts of terroristic threatening first degree and being a persistent felony offender.

Miranda Butrum, age 35 of Columbia, charged with two counts of bail jumping and being a persistent felony offender.

Yevonda Popplewell, age 40 of Russell Springs, charged with bail jumping first degree and being a persistent felony offender.

Duncan Groenewald, age 36 of London, charged with auto theft and theft by unlawful taking $1,000 or more.

Dustin Pevely, age 37, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a persistent felony offender.

Thomas E. Oxendine Jr., age 38 of Lexington, charged with flagrant nonsupport and being a persistent felony offender.

Casey Pierce, age 40 of Russell Springs, charged with flagrant nonsupport.

Tyler Wheeler, age 27 of Russell Springs, charged with flagrant nonsupport.

Brandon Stinson, age 31 of Jamestown, charged with flagrant nonsupport and being a persistent felony offender.
