Suspect in Pulaski County shootings apprehended in Indiana

The man suspected to have shot three people in Pulaski County late Tuesday night has been apprehended in Indiana.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Austin Prather was apprehended in Indiana late last night.

Prather is a suspect in three shootings that took place in Science Hill late Tuesday night that resulted in the death of his grandfather, 67-year-old Ardyth “Ray” Prater and his father, Trae.

Austin is also suspected to have shot his grandmother, 65-year-old Joann Prater. She was flown from the scene late Tuesday night.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate and working with authorities in Indiana on the investigation.
