Freddie Wayne Bell, Sr., of Bardstown, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was 67 years of age.
Born at home in Jamestown, on January 25, 1956, he was a son of the late Osco Riley and Edna Pearl Craig Bell. Freddie was a mechanic, who loved working on cars. He enjoyed trading and talking on his CB Radio with his friends.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Laura Browning Bell, of Bardstown; seven sons, Freddie Wayne Bell, Jr., of Russell Springs, Oliver Riley Bell, of Georgetown, Christopher Shawn Bell, of Silver Springs, Florida, Brandon Bell, of Bardstown, Tony Bell, of Bardstown, James Bell, of Bardstown, and Jacob Bell, of Bardstown; and one daughter, Amy Dawn Bell, of Irvington. Freddie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ty Beckley, Kristopher Beckley, Jayden Bell, Kaleigh Bell, Cheyenne Bowers, Justin Cook, and Kellie Curtis; one brother, Eugene Bell, of Jamestown, and two sisters, Linda Graves, of Louisville, and Carol Chrisman, of Taylorsville.
In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by one brother, Hansel “Tooter” Bell; and three sisters, Reba Franklin, Rena Grider, and Betty Perkins.
Per Freddie’s wishes, cremation rites were honored by Bernard Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Jamestown City Cemetery. A private celebration of life honoring Freddie will be held at a later date.
