A Russell County man was arrested in Adair County Thursday night.
According to Columbia Police, 24-year-old De Leon Benedicto was arrested following a traffic stop on charges of speeding, operating a vehicle without a license, possession of marijuana and receiving a stolen firearm.
Police say when they initiated the traffic stop on Tutt Street, Benedicto had marijuana and alcohol in the car, and a search revealed a stolen handgun in the car.
He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
