The City of Jamestown approved its annual tax rates at last week’s council meeting.
The council approved lowering tax rates from last year.
The new tax rates will be 14.2 cents per $100 of assessed value on real property and 13.9 cents per $100 on personal property.
All taxes paid by December 31 or before will receive a two-percent discount and taxes paid after January 31 will incur a penalty of 10 percent.
