Two men were shot, with one being critically injured, following a reported road rage incident in neighboring Wayne County.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Saturday morning just before noon as local dispatch received a call about a man laying in the roadway on Highway 776 off Highway 92.
One driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by Wayne County EMS before being transported to UK Medical Center.
The other driver received minor injuries and refused any medical treatment.
The drivers reportedly gave conflicting statements about what led to the shootings, and the investigation is ongoing by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
